             When my two-year-old Dell Studio failed to boot up, I took my laptop to a firm that specialises in repairs to Dell laptops and which has the expertise to replace components on the circuit boards. The fault lay in the chipset that controlled the power distribution, and that was the one component they could not replace. They could do nothing else and gave it back to me.

      I then took it to a Authorized Dell Service Centre where they confirmed that the motherboard was faulty and quoted a price equivalent to that of a new, high-specification laptop.

After investigating my Dell Studio Laptop, Mr.Kirubakaran Service Manager at GBS confirmed that the motherboard was beyond repair; however, he was able to obtain a new motherboard for me and carry out a modification to the fan, and all for less than half of what Other service center wanted. It might seem trivial but on unpacking the laptop I noted that it came back perfectly clean and with no marks or fingerprints on the screen, which is more than I can say for the other places I tried. I am ever so grateful to GBS for bringing my laptop back to life and at a very fair price indeed.
